Lamongan – Graduates of the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Islamic Economics at Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan (UMLA) in 2025 donated books to the UMLA Library. The donated books were officially received by Ali Basyah, Head of the UMLA Library.
This activity is a form of the graduates’ concern for developing literacy and improving the quality of learning resources at Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan. The donated books include various references related to Islamic economics, Islamic banking, Islamic cooperatives, management, and other fields of knowledge relevant to students’ needs.
Through this book donation, the graduates hope that the books will be useful for students, lecturers, and the entire UMLA academic community as learning and research materials, as well as to broaden their knowledge of Islamic economics and finance.
Ali Basyah expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Islamic Economics graduates for their contribution. According to him, adding new books to the library collection will provide important support for academic activities and help increase students’ interest in reading.
The activity also reflects the continuing relationship between the graduates and their alma mater. Although they have completed their studies, the graduates can still make meaningful contributions to the development of the Islamic Economics Program and Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan.
It is hoped that this book donation activity can become a positive tradition for future graduates. In addition to its academic value, donating books is also a form of ongoing charity because the knowledge contained in the books can continue to be studied and benefit many people.
