Laren, Lamongan — GaSKenS For Gen Z (Gerakan Sadar Keuangan Syariah untuk Generasi Z) held an Islamic financial literacy outreach program for students of SMA Muhammadiyah 11 Laren on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at the school hall.

The session was delivered by Faricha Maf’ula, S.EI., MIFP, AWP, a lecturer in Islamic Economics at Universitas Muhammadiyah Lamongan, accompanied by a team consisting of Dita Pratiwi Kusumaningtyas, S.E.Sy., M.A, and four university students.

The program focused on introducing the basic concepts of Islamic finance, highlighting common financial issues and behaviors among Generation Z, such as consumptive lifestyles and lack of financial planning. Participants were also provided with practical tips on managing finances wisely based on Islamic financial principles.

The school principal, Ms. Khumaida, accompanied by Mr. Helmi, welcomed the program and emphasized the importance of Islamic financial education in shaping financially literate and ethically responsible students.

One of the participants, Rhievan, expressed his appreciation for the program, stating that it helped him gain a better understanding of Islamic economics and broadened his perspective on managing finances according to Islamic values.

Through this activity, GaSKenS For Gen Z is expected to contribute to improving Islamic financial literacy among students and encourage Generation Z to develop responsible financial behavior from an early age.
